National diagnostic center + international ALS research headquarters (the highest-volume ALS center per capita in the world). Lead: **Prof. Dr. Leonard H. van den Berg**, MD, PhD — Professor of Experimental Neurology (recently appointed Clinical Faculty Professor at UMC Utrecht, 2025). Chair of ENCALS. Co-initiator of Project MinE (2014). Founder of TRICALS (2015–2019). Past coordinator of EU grants FP7 Euro-MOTOR (systems biology) and JPND SOPHIA (biomarkers). Corresponding author on dozens of multi-center ALS trials..
